How is this different from your multicolour printed velvet blazer?
The base. On multicolour the print is the statement and you have to build the outfit around it. On black it reads as texture, so it goes over almost anything and works in settings a bright print wouldn't ƒ?? an office, a business dinner, an ordinary evening.
Is velvet too much for the office?
Not in black. The pile gives it depth rather than shine, and a floral on a black ground reads as texture rather than decoration. Over black or charcoal trousers with a plain top it's straightforwardly professional.
Can I wear velvet in Indian weather?
Velvet is best suited to evenings, air-conditioned venues, the cooler months and the festive season. For daytime events in the heat, a lighter fabric like rayon or poly muslin will be more comfortable.
What do I wear it with?
Black, ivory, white or grey underneath, plain and solid. Denim works for a weekend. Because the base is black you have far more freedom than with a multicoloured print.
Will black suit my skin tone?

How do I care for a velvet jacket?
Gentle hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent, dried flat in the shade. Iron on low heat from the reverse side only ƒ?? a hot iron on the face of the fabric will flatten the pile. Never wring or twist it.
Can I pack it for travel?
Velvet holds its surface well, but it can show pressure marks if it's compressed. Pack it with minimal folding in a breathable garment bag, keep heavy items off it, and hang it as soon as you arrive so the pile settles.
Can I wear this to a wedding?
Yes. Velvet is what we recommend for sangeet evenings, cocktail functions, wedding-guest dressing and Diwali. Black is also the safest choice if you're unsure how formal the event will be.
I'm smaller than XS, or larger than 6XL. Can you still make it?
Yes. Stock sizes run XS to 6XL, and anything outside that range is made to your own measurements through Custom Size. Choose Custom Size at checkout and we'll take it from there.

How long does delivery take?

Can I return it if the size is wrong?
Yes. Refunds are offered on blazers that arrive damaged and on wrong-size orders. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery, and once the item reaches us the refund is processed within 7ƒ??10 working days. On a wrong-size return the courier cost is borne by the customer, so the refund is issued net of return shipping.
