How is this different from your other velvet jackets?
This one is printed rather than embellished. Our sequinned and threadwork velvet pieces carry more occasion weight, but they need careful handling and storage. This has the same fabric and the same festive depth with nothing on the surface that can catch or pull ƒ?? so it's the one you'll actually wear more often.
Can I wear velvet in Indian weather?
Velvet is best suited to evenings, air-conditioned venues, the cooler months and the festive season. For daytime events in the heat, a lighter fabric like rayon or poly muslin will be more comfortable.
How do I style a multicolour print?
Pull one colour out of the print and use it for the top or trousers underneath, or fall back on a refined neutral ƒ?? ivory, cream, black or charcoal. Keep everything else solid so the print stays the focus.
Will a multicolour print suit me?

How do I care for a velvet jacket?
Gentle hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent, dried flat in the shade. Iron on low heat from the reverse side only ƒ?? a hot iron on the face of the fabric will flatten the pile. Never wring or twist it.
Can I pack it for travel?
Velvet holds its surface well, but it can show pressure marks if it's compressed. Pack it with minimal folding in a breathable garment bag, keep heavy items off it, and hang it as soon as you arrive so the pile settles.
Can I wear it to the office?
For an office festive celebration, yes ƒ?? over solid neutral trousers with restrained jewellery. For regular office days, our pashmina and rayon blazers are the better fit.
Can I wear this to a wedding?
Yes. Velvet is what we recommend for sangeet evenings, cocktail functions, wedding-guest dressing and Diwali. Wear it over a plain dress or solid separates and keep jewellery minimal.

I'm smaller than XS, or larger than 6XL. Can you still make it?
Yes. Stock sizes run XS to 6XL, and anything outside that range is made to your own measurements through Custom Size. Choose Custom Size at checkout and we'll take it from there.
I'm between two sizes.
Go up. The regular fit is designed with ease for layering, and the larger size will sit better across the shoulder. If your measurements sit awkwardly, choose Custom Size at checkout.
How long does delivery take?
Varnika Studio delivers to all pin codes across India in 7ƒ??9 days from the date you place your order. Shipping is free on prepaid orders. Cash on delivery is available at an additional ƒ??100.
Can I return it if the size is wrong?
Yes. Refunds are offered on blazers that arrive damaged and on wrong-size orders. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery, and once the item reaches us the refund is processed within 7ƒ??10 working days. On a wrong-size return the courier cost is borne by the customer, so the refund is issued net of return shipping.
