How do I care for gold threadwork?
Gentle hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent, dried flat in the shade. Iron on low heat from the reverse side only ƒ?? never on the face of the work. Store it with space around it rather than pressed between other clothes, so the threadwork isn't crushed.
Will the threadwork catch or pull?
Metallic thread on any garment can catch on rough surfaces, jewellery, bag straps or velcro. Handle the worked areas gently when putting it on and taking it off, and keep it away from anything abrasive.
Is it see-through?
No. The jacket is fully lined in mul cotton, so it's completely opaque ƒ?? and the lining is breathable rather than the synthetic kind that traps heat.
What jewellery works with it?
As little as possible. Studs or a fine chain. Gold threadwork and a heavy gold necklace compete, and the necklace loses. The jacket is the jewellery.
What do I wear it with?
Black, ivory or cream, plain and solid. No print, no texture, nothing that competes. The point of a piece like this is that everything else can be very simple.
Can I wear this instead of a full traditional outfit?

With care. Velvet shows pressure marks when compressed, and threadwork shouldn't be crushed. Pack it with minimal folding in a breathable garment bag, keep heavy items off it, and hang it as soon as you arrive.
I'm smaller than XS, or larger than 6XL. Can you still make it?
Yes. Stock sizes run XS to 6XL, and anything outside that range is made to your own measurements through Custom Size. Choose Custom Size at checkout and we'll take it from there.
I'm between two sizes.
Go up. The regular fit is designed with ease for layering, and the larger size will sit better across the shoulder. If your measurements sit awkwardly, choose Custom Size at checkout.
How long does delivery take?
Varnika Studio delivers to all pin codes across India in 7ƒ??9 days from the date you place your order. Shipping is free on prepaid orders. Cash on delivery is available at an additional ƒ??100.
Can I return it if the size is wrong?
Yes. Refunds are offered on blazers that arrive damaged and on wrong-size orders. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery, and once the item reaches us the refund is processed within 7ƒ??10 working days. On a wrong-size return the courier cost is borne by the customer, so the refund is issued net of return shipping.
